   Tristan will perform in front of his hometown crowd Saturday August 2nd at the Oregon Jamboree.  He moves on to the state competition at the Mill Casino in North Bend.  He also received a guitar from Magnolia's Music and a trophy from Jano's Trophys.

KRKT has been hosting the local finals of the Colgate Country Showdown for more than 30 years.  

Local Finals are held throughout the country, seeking out the best undiscovered talent. 

Step 1:  Audition (check)
Step 2:  Get a spot in the top 20 (check)
Step 3:  Perform for a live audience on the main stage at the Linn County Fair (check)
Step 4:  Win!  Advance to the State Finals (check)
Step 5:  Advance to the Regional Finals
Step 6:  Advance to Nationals
Step 7:  Win!  Get $100,000 to kick start your country music career.
